HEAL is here for you in your day-to-day – whether you’re looking for accommodation, need a hand around the house or someone to go bike riding with on the weekend.

And when it comes to the big stuff, like your NDIS goals, HEAL is here for you too. From getting a job or joining a community group, to starting a business or recording an album.

No matter what your goals are, we want to know what you want from your life, and how we can help you get there.

What we can help with:

Home & living support

Overnight support

Community access

NDIS support coordination

Therapeutic support

Accommodation

Health & fitness

Employment support

We believe in a world where everyone feels connected, supported and inspired.

Where you choose the supports you want, when you want them, and who you want them from.

And those supports make a genuine difference to your life – from the small things that impact your daily routine to the big goals you have for your future.

We have specialist experience working with people with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s.

We understand that conditions like Parkinson’s have a bigger impact on your life than just tremors, feeling unbalanced and having trouble getting around. That’s why we work with you to create a life that considers all of your mental and physical symptoms holistically.

“More movement, less shaking, feeling stronger and more confident.”

Greg got in touch with Heal Support Services after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. He was looking for extra support around the house as well as getting out into the community as his confidence had declined.

He started eBike riding with his support worker and, within three months, experienced more movement, less shaking, he felt stronger and his mental health skyrocketed.

“Along the way people will stop to chat to me about the eBike. That is life-changing because it makes me feel like I don’t have a disability. No one is focused on what I can do, they just want to talk about our shared interest of riding bikes. Now my goals are to join a local group of riders and complete the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.” — Greg

What do your supports include?

  • Support with everyday tasks, taking medication, using public transport, money and budgeting and more.

We know it can be hard to focus on big goals – like going to school or living independently – when you’re struggling with daily activities.

    That’s where we come in.

We can help with daily tasks – like cooking and cleaning, grabbing groceries, going to appointments and taking medication – So you can focus on creating a life you love.

    Overnight support

If you need a hand overnight – for example with getting out of bed and going to the toilet – or taking medication throughout the night – we can stay overnight at your home to help out.

Depending on your budget and needs, you may be able to get this type of support every night of the week or just a couple of times each week.

  • Support to connect with your community, try new things and make more friends.

Being part of a community means different things to different people – for some it might mean playing sports every weekend – or having a schedule filled with coffee dates and movies – or volunteering at a local animal shelter.

For you it might mean finding others to share in your passions with.

Whatever community and connection looks like for you, Heal Support Services is your partner in making it happen.

  • Support to find the best local service providers and get the most out of your funding.

  • Services to support your goals such as occupational therapy, speech pathology, counselling, personal training and more.

  • We can help you find a home you feel comfortable, confident and supported in.

If you’re looking for supported independent living SIL or ILO (independent living options) please send a support request and we’ll be in touch.

  • Support to build your skills in a field that interests you, get qualifications and experience and find a job you love.
